I am trying stand up comedy in English, I had already tried and preformed in Spanish for a while and it was great.
Way to feel the language difference. The rhythms of everything are just different. Like stand up has its own language on top of English.
This is harder than I though. So I love it more than I though. I am also feeling intimidated I’ll be more than alright.

What’s a translation for the Spanish word Grima?
It defines the nails-on-the-blackboard feeling. Which is not disgust or pain or intolerance. It’s many of those, maybe it isn’t even a feeling per se.
If anyone knows a word that translates that experience, please provide the information, it’s been killing me lately.

I knew I loved my Maude Team but this rehearsal was ridiculously fun and made them re-love them.

POST- REHEARSE MOMENTS:
Also I think I still am confused with English language
“Lovers” to me means people on an affair and not people that have sex.
Like married people are not lovers even if they are having sex with each other. Apparently I use the term wrong. This made all of...

Ribbing
A verb that consist in a body part name SHOULD equal action in that body part.
An action that includes the subaction of touching (this is almost arbitrary, I’m aware)
Ribbing for me is:
1. Touching someone in the ribs (TICKLING)
2. Touching someone with the ribs (WEIRD PUNCH WEAPON)
3. Both of the previous (LATERAL MATING RITUAL)
But English is weird and it means “The...

Taking dibs on something.
I thought it was taking dips as in “I dip my hand in this salsa and no one would want to touch it hence it’s mine now I TAKE DIPS”

Yersterday I improvised with JR and Diego and I said:
“Let’s do the sex” meaning of course “let’s have sex”
I didn’t know “cut just a little bit off the top” as in “cut my fucking hair”.
I also said “There are a lot of dead smell here in this room” Meaning “it smells a lot like something died in here”

Hot and bothered.
I like this expression. Bothered seems too strong for what it is though, but meeeh what do I know right? I am an alien and sexua needs don’t bother me, I copulate with my fingers.
NOTE
I noticed these two things:
1. Strangers don’t get bits.
2.The more you drink the more you lose your second language.
Note on this note: I noticed 1. and 2. at the exact same moment

This is my first 4th of July here. I’ve seen so many movies about this weekend. Subtitled movies. I went to see Public Enemies today. I was still looking for the subtitles. I learned English watching subtitles, listening dialogues, listening to my dad’s musical selection and singing in gibberish. I still sing in gibberish and Musical Hot Spot makes me feel like I want to cry o escape....

Constipated: in English it’s specifically related to intestines. In Spanish we use it for traffic and the nose.
I found out the hard way.

Ovaries and Eggs.
We call them Ovarios and Óvulos.
That would be Ovaries and Ovules… I guess.
Eggs… to me what makes an egg an egg is the shell, and that’s something we, humans, don’t produce.
Eggs… a guy with balls is a guy with eggs (almost every guy).
My grandma would laugh at this.

Heartburn: But what burns is my stomach!
Stomachburn looks German and is more accurate.
Heartburn is more like what I feel when I see the guy I like and I remember that, for now, he is a platonic love.

“You literally squirted me with yellow Jello you squirrel murderer”
THIS IS A SENTENCE THAT COLLECTS ALL THE DIFFICULTIES TO PRONOUNCE ENGLISH

Cheesy means horny in my country aaand… Horny means being cheated on.
Like you got horns in your head because your partner is sleeping with someone else.
-I am so horny right now baby.
-So you’re doing this for revenge?
I had to find out soon.

On that same note:
Anything related to cheese in my country is sexual. ANYTHING. Not only “cheesy”.
And it’s not that we don’t ever use cheese related words, we do, but in English it’s used without the least concern on that matter. It’s hilarious.
Cheesemongers might be my favorite.

In my country “Cheesy” means “Horny” and in my world it made perfect sense.
-That guy is so cheesy ugh I can’t stand him.
-I’m sorry or being so cheesy but I think your accent is beautiful.
-My mom is soo cheesy for sending me this Hallmark -WHAT?
Yeah I had to find out someday.

feces in the faces
They don’t sound so similar in other people’s mouths. Faces is like feces in my mouth.

Hungry sounds like Hungary.
Poor place I say. I would like to sound more like Hamburg… and Hamburg sounds like “Hambre” (that’s also hungry in Spanish but also like hamburger)
Hamburg it’s a self sustained name. Sounds like hunger and also like food.
Poor Hungary.
